Servicing a Cartier watch involves replacing common wear-and-tear components and high-friction parts to maintain precision and performance. The cost of these parts is not included in the base service fee, but when replacements are needed, we exclusively use new, genuine manufacturer parts to ensure quality and longevity.

Cartier Watch Repair FAQs
What do you mean by “Starting at $699”?
The $699 entry price covers most time and date-only models. Chronographs, Perpetual Calendars, Moon-phase, and other sophisticated complications can double or triple the number of parts that need to be taken apart, cleaned, reassembled, and lubricated — and all by hand. This is more labor-intensive and requires much more time to perform. This obviously has an impact on productivity and, out of necessity, requires a higher price. Additionally, most watches will require at least some parts during service. The cost of these parts is in addition to the cost of labor. This is why a free repair estimate will always be presented to you prior to any repairs being performed.
Are you an “authorized” repair location?
No. Cartier does not grant “authorized” status to companies—only to individual watchmakers. And yes, our watchmakers are authorized by Cartier and maintain active parts accounts directly with the brand. As a wholly independent service provider, we’re able to set our own pricing and policies, giving you the benefit of expert Cartier-certified watchmakers without the restrictions or higher costs associated with factory service.
What’s the turnaround time for repairing Cartier watches?
The time required to service your Cartier watch can range from 1 to 4 months, depending on the complexity of the watch, the availability of necessary parts, and our current backlog of repairs. While we always aim for the shortest turnaround possible, parts availability is largely beyond our control, since we don’t manufacture them ourselves. Rest assured, we’ll keep you updated throughout the process and complete the work as efficiently as possible without compromising quality.
Can you service any Cartier watch?
No. We do not service quartz (battery-operated) Cartier watches. Additionally, movement parts for many Cartier models produced before the 1980s are no longer available, which limits our ability to service those vintage pieces.
